Screening of ‘Reporting on the Times: The New York Times and The Holocaust’
If The New York Times, the paper of record, had published stories about the Holocaust on the front page, would it have made a difference in the fate of millions of Jews who were killed in the Holocaust, and of the millions more who were held captive in concentration camps throughout Europe? Northeastern University School of Journalism hosts “Reporting on The Times, The New York Times and the Holocaust” by filmmaker Emily Harrold. Her film is based on Northeastern School of Journalism Professor Laurel Leff’s acclaimed book, “Buried by The Times: The Holocaust and America’s Most Important Newspaper.”
A panel discussion will follow with Professor Leff, Alex Jones, director of the Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard, and Harrold. For more information or to reserve a seat contact Gladys McKie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This event is free and open to all. Refreshments will be served.
