The School of Journalism’s new graduate Media Innovation concentration was featured in a story about several area universities and colleges that are incorporating technology in arts and humanities programs. The story, “Emerson, Northeastern jump on tech bandwagon,” published in the Boston Globe’s Business section on March 19, was written by Callum Borchers. In the story, the program’s creator, Assistant Professor Jeff Howe, said Northeastern’s the Media Innovation concentration will not only teach journalism and technology skills, but will allow students to “adopt a new mindset.”
The Media Innovation concentration graduate program was funded by a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. Applications are now being accepted for the fall.
