In his latest contribution to the Huffington Post “Politics” section, Professor Alan Schroeder weighs in on Ashley Judd’s chance of defeating Mitch McConnell in next year’s Senate race in Kentucky. Schroeder says Judd will need to consider her glamour, her acting skills, and her experience with social causes. He notes that Judd holds a master’s degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. In the March 8 article, “The Senate Prospects of Ashley Judd,” Schroeder discusses her strengths and the challenges of running in a largely Republican state. Schroeder believes that a Judd victory is not too farfetched, even in a “red-state” like Kentucky.
