Co-founded by Associate Professor Anders Drachen, Game Analytics focuses on conducting analysis on game behavioral data from millions of player data collected through online gameplay.

Associate Professors Anders Drachen and Alessandro Canossa work closely with Square Enix on IO Interactive to develop new techniques that investigate behavioral game data and its relation to human psychological emotions and personality. Their work gives the company valuable insight while perfecting user design.

Associate Professor Alessandro Canossa worked very closely with Unity at its inception.

Associate Professor and Director of Game Design Magy Seif El-Nasr, with students Veronica Zammitto, Dinara Moura, and Bardia Aghabeigi, worked with Electronic Arts to to investigate the relationship between emotion, attention, and game-play behavior in sports and role-playing games.

Members of the Game Design program’s faculty are working with STAR Analytics to develop a crowd-sourcing turn-based strategy game to investigate players’ socio-political behavior.
Associate Professor and Director of Game Design Magy Seif El-Nasr is working with Igniteplay to develop, design, and evaluate a social media game called My Spa Resort, which is designed to help people adopt healthier lifestyles.
