The Com­mu­ni­ca­tion Stud­ies fac­ulty reg­u­larly par­tic­i­pates in con­fer­ences, sem­i­nars, and work­shops spon­sored by lead­ing pro­fes­sional asso­ci­a­tions. In recent years, the fac­ulty has pre­sented their research at events spon­sored by the Asso­ci­a­tion for Edu­ca­tion in Jour­nal­ism and Mass Com­mu­ni­ca­tion, Broad­cast Edu­ca­tion Asso­ci­a­tion, East­ern Com­mu­ni­ca­tion Asso­ci­a­tion, Inter­na­tional Com­mu­ni­ca­tion Asso­ci­a­tion, and the National Com­mu­ni­ca­tion Association.
