Chad O’Connor

Part-Time Lecturer

Chad O’Connor teaches Organizational Communication & Culture courses in undergraduate and graduate programs in Communication Studies at Northeastern University, where he is also a communications advisor for NU IDEA, Northeastern’s venture accelerator program. He is also an active volunteer on the World Class Cities Partnership’s MassAction unCommittee, helping to launch Innovation Week in 2012 and AwesomeBoston.org in 2013. Beyond his involvement at Northeastern, Chad serves as primary editor of the Global Business Hub blog on Boston.com. He consults for public, private and nonprofit clients in the areas of internal and external communication strategies and executive messaging and serves on the Advisory Board of REEL Entrepreneurs, a startup documenting the entrepreneurial ecosystem through video. Chad is a graduate alumnus of Emerson College and undergraduate alumnus of UMass Amherst. He is a devoted fan of hardcore punk, old Jamaican ska and reggae, and the Yo! MTV Raps era of hip hop amongst many other styles. He enjoys taking his dog to the park, discussing all things Boston sports, and discovering craft beers.
