
This $5,000 award supports a student in exploring the work of a Jewish artist or musician persecuted by the Nazis. The Gideon Klein Scholar will create an original work, prepare a performance, or do research.
The Gideon Klein Award is open to students in any major at Northeastern University, Hebrew College, or the New England Conservatory.
To apply, submit a one- to two- page proposal, a résumé, and one faculty recommendation to Prof. Lori Lefkovitz (l.lefkovitz@neu.edu) no later than March 1, 2013. The proposal should describe the projected performance, work, or research and the reasons for pursuing the chosen topic.
