The graduate programs in Northeastern University’s Department of Art + Design teach visual fluency in today’s technology-driven world. We offer three innovative master of fine arts (MFA) programs that span the field of art and design, push the boundaries of visual communication, and help our students bring ideas to life.
Master of Fine Arts in Information Design and Visualization
Master of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Art (pending approval)
Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art in collaboration with The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
The Department of Art + Design requires submission of a portfolio with your application for admission to both our MFA in Information Design and Visualization and MFA in Studio Art (in collaboration with School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston).
Art + Design Prospective students applying for Fall 2014 should use Northeastern’s online application portal.
Art + Design applicants are required to submit their portfolio via Slideroom, an online portfolio submission service. All students are encouraged to review the Department of Art + Design Graduate Program Portfolio Requirements for portfolio submission requirements.
