The Madi­son Dig­i­tal Image Data Base is the in-house Dig­i­tal Asset Man­age­ment Sys­tem sup­ports the teach­ing and research needs of our fac­ulty members.

ART­stor is a sub­scrip­tion ser­vice avail­able to the NU com­mu­nity pro­vid­ing nearly one mil­lion images for aca­d­e­mic use.

Image Requests

Images for teach­ing will be added to the col­lec­tion as quickly as pos­si­ble. Please allow two weeks for new images to be processed. A Copy Request Form must accom­pany all new requests. (If you are donat­ing orig­i­nal images to the col­lec­tion, please com­plete an Image Data Sheet as well.)

Copy­right Notice

Due to copy­right restric­tions, repro­duc­tion or dupli­ca­tion in any medium of the images in the VRC dig­i­tal col­lec­tion is strictly pro­hib­ited. The images are licensed for use by the North­east­ern Com­mu­nity and may be used for class­room and study pur­posed only. Pub­li­ca­tion in schol­arly jour­nals and use on pub­lic access web sites are not permitted.
