Associate Co-op Coordinator for Architecture
Lynn Burke is the Associate Co-op Coordinator for the School of Architecture. She received her B.A. in English and her M.Ed in Education Research Policy Administration at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Lynn has worked in Career Services at various institutions such as University of Massachusetts Amherst, Hampshire College and Wentworth Institute of Technology before coming to Northeastern University in 2000. She works exclusively with the architecture students to help counsel, place and educate students on cooperative education. Lynn teaches a one-credit Professional Development course.
Lynn is the Head Advisor to the NU Chapter of the AIAS and the NU Chapter of Freedom By Design. She also serves as the IDP coordinator for Northeastern University and is the primary information resource regarding IDP in the architecture program. Lynn was presented with the Camp Dresser & McKee (CDM) award in 2007 for outstanding co-op coordinator of the year.
Lynn is also an active member of the Boston Society of Architects (BSA), Cooperative Education and Internship Association (CEIA) and the New England Association of Cooperative Education and Field Experience (NEACEFE). She has presented workshops every year at the local and national level on career related topics.
Lynn understands the way social networking is changing the recruiting landscape, and therefore gets her message out to students, alumni and faculty in a number of ways. She maintains her own website, a Facebook Fan Page , and tweets under@NUArchjobs.
