James Forren holds a Master’s in Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Wesleyan University. His work – under the umbrella of Stilfragen Architecture, Art, and Design – encompasses a broad set of topics at the intersection of art and technology. He previously worked at the offices of Perkins+Will, Cambridge Seven Associates and Safdie Architects coordinating complex structure and enclosure systems and leading design on large scale, institutional projects. He has taught at several schools including Wesleyan University and Wentworth Institute of Technology. He currently teaches Fundamentals Studios, Design Tactics, Digital Representation, and Tectonics.
