Chistopher Calott, AIA from Tulane School of Architecture will give a presentation on the concept of Architect as Developer. He will also discuss the one-year professional program, Master of Sustainable Real Estate Development at Tulane that focuses on regenerative urban development, real estate design, and social entrepreneurship
Christopher Calott, AIA, ULI, LF ’12 is Director of the program. With over twenty five years of experience, Calott brings an unusual combination of excellence in his creative work as an architect and urban designer as demonstrated through numerous design awards, dedication as a teacher at a number of institutions, and success as a real estate developer and entrepreneur. His innovative development work has introduced new mixed-use housing types, “infill” subdivisions, Transit-Oriented Developments, Community Supported Agriculture, affordable housing, adaptive-reuse, and vibrant public spaces into cities. Chris received the prestigious Loeb Fellowship at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design in 2011-12, his Master of Architecture from Princeton University, and a B.A., Honors, in Urban Theory and Design from Brown University.
