BSA Space Author Series: Mark Hutker FAIA
Professional Architect and Northeastern Advisory Council Member Mark Hutker FAIA will be at the BSA Space in late September to discuss his firm’s work at the BSA Space Author Series. See the original posting by the BSA Space below. Don’t forget to register!
The BSA Space Author Series features talented writers discussing their recent publications in the areas of architecture, design and the built environment.
This edition of the Author Series —named for the first chapter of Heirlooms to Live In by Mark Hutker FAIA—will explore how Hutker Architects fosters builder relationships to create projects that embody meaningful family narratives. Such homes are passed down generationally and ultimately defended by the community at large . In this context, to build once well is the ultimate sustainable proposition. Using the book and its celebrated images as a base for the conversation, Hutker will also explore his concept of “life equity” and the ethics of choosing materials, craft, and relationships over commodities.
Copies of the book will be available for sale and signing. BSA members attend free, and nonmembers pay only $10; all must register online.
