Northeastern’s unique approach.
Northeastern’s School of Architecture is the only school in the entire country selected to be featured at the National Convention of the American Institute of Architects this May in Washington, DC. An interview with Director George Thrush is posted on the www.aia.org website.
Thrush describes the School’s engagement with the 99% of the built environment not now critically addressed by architects. He describes the market-driven building types that are the subject of many upper level design studios at the School, including the Housing Studio, 1960s Urbanism, and the Graduate Research Studio.
This video, along with another that includes separate interviews with Northeastern studentswill be aired at the National Convention in Washington, DC this May, as part of a year-long effort by the AIA to identify the challenges facing designers in the immediate future.
