Northeastern on the Move.
Northeastern’s School of Architecture is the only school in the entire country selected to be featured at the National Convention of the American Institute of Architects this May in Washington, DC. Director George Thrush, and several students, are interviewed in the video essay, which will be posted on the www.aia.org website.
The production is entitled Looking Forward, and the school was selected because of its focus on market-driven building types and engagement with the real challenges in making our cities more efficient, beautiful, and sustainable. Host Stephen Chung, AIA speaks with architects, firms, advocates, and journalists in addition to the students and faculty at Northeastern.
This video, along with another separate longer interview with Thrush will be aired at the National Convention in Washington, DC this May, as part of a year long effort by the AIA to identify the challenges facing designers in the immediate future.
