2. Freshman Eligibility
The Bouvé College of Health Sciences curricula all have a strong science component; as such students wishing to be admitted to Bouvé as internal transfers must demonstrate strong performance in lab science courses prior to full admission. Well qualified students who have not taken any lab sciences may be accepted for an Internal Transfer Semester. Students who have at least one lab science class may be accepted directly into a Bouvé major, or may be accepted for an Internal Transfer Semester.
During the Internal Transfer Semester, students will take a prescribed set of courses that apply to their requested Bouvé major. Program plans for the Bouvé majors can be found here. Students will be reviewed after this semester for full admission. Summer coursework may be required.
All internal transfer applicants should familiarize themselves with the academic progression policies of their intended major before applying. Some majors require a 3.0 GPA to enter the professional phase of the program. Policies can be found here.
