Highlights of Faculty Research at the School of Nursing

Dr. Howard holds a joint appointment as a Visiting Scientist at the Institute for Aging Research.  Her work at the institute includes examination of the interplay between cognition and physical activity among community-dwelling older adults and the impact of cognition on functional ability and psychosocial factors.  In addition, she is conducting a pilot project to explore the feasibility and clinical outcomes from implementation of a computerized cognitive intervention for nursing home residents.
