Center for Work, Health, and Well-being

Dr. Jack Dennerlein is co-PI of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Center for Work, Health, and Well-being.

The mission of the Center for Work, Health, and Well-being is to protect and promote the safety, health, and well-being of workers through integrated work site policies, programs, and practices that foster a safe and healthy work organization and environment, and promote safe and healthy behaviors.

The Center’s central objective is to expand the evidence on integrated approaches through etiologic and intervention effectiveness research studies and to build the practice base through translating and disseminating best practices, developing policy recommendations, and building the capacity of trained professionals and organizations. The Center’s vision is optimal worker safety and health and employer outcomes through improved conditions of work.

Work based at Northeastern University is developing and evaluating integrated approaches for commercial construction projects that integrate ergonomic programs with a health week that promotes the overall well-being of the construction worker.
