Greetings and welcome to the Northeastern University School of Pharmacy Anniversary website!
In this, the 50th year of pharmacy education at Northeastern University, and a total of 85 years of rich history with our predecessor institutions, we have so much to celebrate – outstanding students, accomplished alumni, world class faculty, internationally recognized researchers, and a top-notch educational experience, which includes the only pharmacy cooperative education (“co-op”) program in the country. Our successes of today have their roots in the decades of history that came before – back to 1927 when the Meriano School of Pharmacy was first founded, and its transformation through the years as the Boston School of Pharmacy and the New England College of Pharmacy. You, our alumni, are an integral part of this history and we look forward to connecting with you at one of the many celebrations and events that we have planned throughout the year. Some of these events will be held in our new School of Pharmacy home at 140 The Fenway, which formerly housed the historic Forsyth Institute, adjacent to the Museum of Fine Arts.
The school has an impressive history and we’ve designed this website to give you an opportunity to see it while you reconnect with your alma mater, former classmates, faculty, staff, and current students. Please plan to attend one or more of the anniversary events that are being offered. Check back on this site regularly for information on lectures, student events, colloquia, and the highlight of the year: a grand celebration planned for fall.
