Northeastern University is seeking nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the School of Nursing. The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate with the doctorate or master’s degree in nursing; a demonstrated history of scholarship; in-depth understanding of undergraduate and graduate education; recognition for outstanding regional and/or national leadership; dedication to education, scholarship and service; commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration; sophisticated organizational and interpersonal communication skills; understanding of global issues and commitment to urban health; and eligibility for licensure in the state of Massachusetts.

The person who holds the position of Dean of the School of Nursing also holds the position of Associate Dean in the Bouvé College of Health Sciences. Bouvé College of Health Sciences (BCHS), which comprises the School of Nursing, the School of Pharmacy, and the School of Health Professions. The vision of the College is to be the national model for health sciences education and a leader in translational and interdisciplinary research with a focus on urban health.

The Dean will provide leadership for the School of Nursing including curriculum development, teaching, and support of a strong faculty research program. The School of Nursing is located in Boston, Massachusetts, and has BSN, RN to MS, MS, and PhD in Nursing programs. The university and the school are nationally recognized as leaders in cooperative education. The Dean will contribute service to the School, College, University, and profession and represent Bouvé College and the School of Nursing nationally and on nursing related boards, commissions, and associations.

Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
