Application Information

Graduate Application Requirements

There is a $75 non-refundable application fee which can be paid online by credit card or by mailing a check. In some cases we are able to waive the application fee. Application fee waivers are only provided to Northeastern alumni, current AmeriCorps program members, and to applicants that are affiliated to the Graduate Education for Minorities (GEM) Program or the Ronald E. McNair Post-baccalaureate Achievement Program. Proof of affiliation to any of these programs needs to be submitted to the graduate admissions office for approval. Applicants that are approved for this waiver should submit the online application by choosing the “pay by check” option.

We are unable to waive the application fee for programs that are part of the Common Application System. Programs that are part of the Common Application System include; Master of Public Health in Urban Health, Doctor of Pharmacy Direct Entry, Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and the Post Baccalaureate Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.

Checks should be made out to Northeastern University, and mailed to Northeastern University, Bouvé College of Health Science, Graduate Admissions, 123 Behrakis Health Science Center, 360 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02115.

You will need 3 letters of recommendation. Check the online recommendation box and enter the e-mail address of your recommender. Our automatic system will send the necessary information to the entered e-mail address.

Your personal goal statement should briefly describe how you view the future of the field, what your goals are to be part of that future, and what brought you to pursue an advanced education degree in your chosen field. You may include any other information that you feel might be useful.

The most recent copy of your resume should be included with your application.

Official transcripts should be mailed to Northeastern University, Bouvé College of Health Sciences, Graduate School, 123 Behrakis Health Science Center, 360 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02115, and e-transcripts to bouvegrad@northeastern.edu

  • Applicants may upload a scanned version of their official transcript when submitting the online application. Those transcripts will be considered unofficial and will fulfill the transcript requirement.
  • Web-based transcripts or printouts from the applicant’s student account are not accepted as unofficial transcripts.
  • Applicants will continue to have the option to submit official transcripts, however official transcripts will only be required when a student is accepted into a program.
