Research: Clinical research studies aimed at understanding and improving medication adherence among patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders.
Pharmacoepidemiologic methods used to identify the prevalence, patterns and motives for prescription drug abuse and diversion among various populations.
Pharmacokinetic analyses and modeling of drugs of abuse and medications used to treat substance use disorders.

Courses: Research Directed Study (PMD U964), Alcohol & Drug Abuse Treatment Program, McLean Hospital (Belmont, MA). This directed study involves patient interviewing, medical records review, data entry and verification, data analysis and occasionally poster and manuscript preparation. Hours: 2-8 hours/week, usually between 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
