Research Interests: 

• Traditionally “non-health” policies and programs that impact health, particularly urban planning and design, housing, neighborhoods, education, (im)migration, health literacy
• Health communications and health literacy
• Health disparities, particularly racial and ethnic health disparities
• Chronic conditions, such as asthma, and the social and spatial environment
• Spatial measurement issues, e.g. building, neighborhood, and regional levels
• Interrelated and interdependent relationships among education, cities, neighborhoods, urban planning, especially residential segregation
• Design and evaluation of evidence-based programs and policies, including Health Impact Assessment 
• Multisectoral/Interdisciplinary collaboration and partnership
