Ying-Yee Kong is an Assistant Professor in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology at Northeastern University. She received her Ph.D. degree in Cognitive Sciences from the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Kong’s research has been focused on auditory perception in normal-hearing and cochlear-implant listeners. She is currently directing an independent research program to investigate cochlear-implant listeners’ ability to integrate speech cues between acoustic and electric stimulation, and to design a new hearing aid processing algorithm to deliver more useful speech information to hearing-impaired listeners.
