Dr. Charles Cooney, Faculty Director of the Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation at Massachusetts Institute of Technology will present. The biotechnology industry has its root in innovation and has evolved from a constant stream of breakthroughs in science and technology. The result has been new companies bringing new products to both health care and industrial applications. However, the path is littered with success and failure. Reflecting on his experience with products and processes, Dr. Cooney will describe a few lessons learned that may shed some light on creating value from innovation going forward.
