The 11th Annual CDD Symposium on “Current Trends in Drug Abuse Research” will take place in the Fenway Center, 77 St Stephen’s Street, on May 17, 2013.
The Symposium brings together renowned scientists and clinicians whose research impacts, either directly or indirectly, on the problem of substance abuse, its myriad pathological effects, and the opportunities it presents for novel pharmacotherapeutic approaches to this and other diseases.
The multidisciplinary presentations will cover such topics as application of biophysical techniques to characterize enzyme/receptor dynamics and inform drug design; approaches to treating substance abuse and metabolic disorders, and behavioral pharmacology.
This year’s speakers include Dr. Ray Booth (CDD), Dr. Mark Williams (CDD), Dr. Franco Lombardo (Novartis), Dr. Rajeev Desai (Harvard Mclean) and Dr. Chris Cowan (Harvard Mclean). A full schedule of speakers will be posted as soon as it is available.
