About Us

Biotechnology at Northeastern University

The diverse population of faculty and research scientists and engineers affiliated with Northeastern's biotechnology programs underscores biotechnology's emergence at the intersection of several vibrant academic disciplines. Our instructors and academic advisors collaborate in designing as well as delivering new programs and new courses and in writing successful grants to obtain extramural financial support for the programs in biotechnology.

The University has identified biotechnology as a key investment area. As we add faculty in biotechnology research and education, and as we produce highly skilled workers for the industry, our academic programs in biotechnology will play an important role in moving us toward our goal of becoming one of the nation’s top universities.

Our biotechnology programs are built on traditions that have sustained Northeastern for over a century: our leadership in experiential education; our record of educating intellectually dynamic, achievement-oriented students; and our commitment to cultivating mutually rewarding partnerships with businesses in our urban community.
