The Barnett Institute's choice of research goals is driven by impact; in each case, we consider "Who will make use of this?"  Working in close collaboration with companies and front-line academic research groups provides accurate insight into relevant and emerging needs in biochemical analysis.

Our collaborators gain access to advanced instrumentation facilities, and to the Institute's experience in emerging methods.

Academic and medical research laboratories can integrate cutting-edge analytical methods with their basic science and clinical investigations. For industry, the protein or metabolite analysis is performed with awareness of all steps of the scientific and business enterprise - from experiment design and specification, through sample collection and storage, preparation and LC-MS, to data processing and interpretation. Process and final product characterization can be accomplished with the recognized expertise and third party objectivity of the Institute.
