Northeastern is home to an excellent team of Asian Studies faculty who possess the expertise, commitment, and vision to offer a high quality and comprehensive program to students interested in the part of the world. Drawing from faculty specializing in anthropology, cinema studies, history, law, literature, music, philosophy, political science, religion, and sociology, the Asian Studies major is able to offer a diversity of perspectives and insights into the region. Our faculty are widely respected for their research within their fields, and have been successful in securing prestigious research grants, including Fulbright fellowships. In addition, faculty in the professional Business, Health and Law colleges who do not teach Asian Studies undergraduate courses are actively involved in research projects connected to Asia and inject much intellectual vitality into our curriculum through special lectures and discussions with students.
