Welcome to the Affective Science Institute
The ASI is hosted by Northeastern University.
The ASI is a nexus for collaboration, training, and the exchange of ideas for researchers, clinicians, and other professionals in affective science in and around New England.
Approximately once each semester, the ASI hosts an interdisciplinary half-day “meet and greet” symposium at Northeastern University. Talks are followed by a combined poster session and reception, providing an opportunity for those in the affective science community to meet and mingle.
The ASI hosts a speaker series featuring invited presentations.
The ASI also sponsors additional special events, training workshops, and public outreach activities.
Oversight of the ASI is conducted by:
Lisa Feldman Barrett, Ph.D.
Dave DeSteno, Ph.D.
