Park Guide, Boston National Historic Parks
Boston and the surrounding area are rich with history and stories. Make use of this locale, learn about it and share your knowledge. The Park Guide Positions are fabulous for you if you enjoy talking to people, would you like to gain experience in public speaking, and enjoy discovering the untold stories of history?
The park's historic sites tell the story of diverse groups of Bostonians and their struggle to define their "rights and liberties" from 1700s to the present. Sites include Faneuil Hall, Bunker Hill Monument and Charlestown Navy Yard. Park guides present historical talks and work in visitor centers orienting visitors from all over the world to Boston and New England. No experience is necessary. Students who are interested in anthropology, sociology, history, education, communications, political science or theater will gain valuable experience in these park guide positions.
