Boston has many attractions that are within close proximity of each other, most within walking distance and all on the MBTA public transportation system. Roughly speaking, they can be divided up into Historic Sites, Museums, Parks, Music and Performance Arts, Dining and Shopping, Sports, and Universities. Most of these activities can either be individual or one can sign up for a guided walking or trolley tour.
