15th Annual Northeastern Night at the Pops
On Saturday, May 8, 2010, the world-famous Symphony Hall will be full of Husky pride as the renowned Boston Pops take to the stage for the 15th annual Northeastern Night at the Pops. The concert will be held the day after Commencement, and Northeastern has reserved the entire Hall for our community of alumni, students, parents, and friends to enjoy the crowd-pleasing performance. In celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the Boston Pops, the concert will highlight the musical legacies of the three most influential Pops conductors -- Arthur Fiedler, John Williams, and Keith Lockhart.
In addition, a special appearance by the five-time Grammy award winning group, Ozomatli, will add energy and international flair to the evening. Known for their dynamic, international appeal, Ozomatli’s music blends traditions from Africa, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East to create a performance not soon to be forgotten. In 2007, the Los Angeles-based band was invited by the U.S. State Department to serve as official Cultural Ambassadors on tours to promote peace.
Ticket prices will be posted here soon and sales will open by the middle of December. Be sure to reserve your seats – this is an evening you won’t want to miss!
