Don’t
Miss Out:
Register Now for Alumni/ae Weekend 2007 |
More than 350 people participated in last year’s Alumni/ae Weekend. See what the buzz is about and join us May 11-12, 2007, for an entertaining and enjoyable weekend with NUSL graduates.
On Friday night, May 11, graduates from all class years are invited to join us at Vinalia
Restaurant and Wine Bar for wine and hors d’oeuvres. This funky hot-spot is a great place to unwind with old friends from law school.
We have assembled two dynamic panels for Saturday morning, which will follow a complimentary continental breakfast. The first, 1972-2007:
The Progression of Gay Rights — How Far Have We Come and
Where are We Headed? will be moderated by Prof. Libby
Adler and will feature three national leaders in this field: Mary Bonauto '87, civil rights project director, Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders; Kevin Cathcart '82, executive director, Lambda Legal Defense & Education Fund; and Deborah Wald '87, founder, The Wald Law Group.
The second panel, 1977-2007: Dramatic Changes in
American Law will be moderated by Prof. Steve
Subrin and includes, thus far, three trailblazers,
Howard Friedman '77, founder, Law Offices of Howard Friedman,
and Adriane Dudley '72, senior partner, Dudley Clark & Chan,
LLP, and Richard M. Egbert, Esq., Law Offices of Richard
M. Egbert, P.C.
Later in the day, we are offering two family-friendly activities: a tour of the
newly remodeled Institute of Contemporary
Art (ICA) and a Boston
Duck Tour (always enjoyable).
On Saturday evening, reunion year classes ('52, '72, '77, '82, '87, '92, '97
and '02) and their guests are invited to a dinner and open bar reception, featuring
a keynote address by professor and former dean Dan
Givelber, live music and gourmet
dining in the lovely Curry Ballroom on Northeastern's campus.
