Admissions Update By MJ Knoll, Assistant Dean and Director of Admissions This has been another strong year for admissions. We are currently at the end of our application cycle and will be mailing the last of our decisions this week. We received more than 3,700 applications and have seen a 25 percent increase in the quality of our applicants in terms of LSAT scores and GPAs. Their backgrounds and interests are equally impressive. This has resulted in a very strong admitted pool. We are now in the process of working with our admitted students to try and assist them in their selection process. They have many choices among law schools and we want them to understand what makes NUSL such a terrific place to study law. We send letters, e-mails and call our admitted students. We also hold several events during the spring to allow them the opportunity to meet members of the law school community. If you are interested in participating in admissions events, please contact Michelle Allison '02. Joining the Team Two new staff members have joined the law school's Office of Development and Alumni/ae Relations. Nicole King Brady '00, is our new associate director of development and Mielle Marquis is associate director of alumni/ae relations. Both Nicole and Mielle have been working for the law school in interim positions and bring a breadth of valuable experience to NUSL. Want to be a Co-op Employer? We are sure you remember your days on co-op. If you have a co-op opportunity available in your office, or know of any individuals whose practice could benefit from a co-op student, please contact either Jeff Smith at 617.373.4942 or Jerry Slater at 617.373.2618. NUSL Volunteer Opportunities Consider joining the Alumni/ae Association Board and becoming more active in alumni/ae activities.
