Donor Spotlight - Garrett Lee

Q. Why did you give to The Northeastern Fund?

I give to The Northeastern Fund because I would like to express my appreciation for the opportunities that my Northeastern education has given me in my career. I would not be a lawyer today had it not been for some of the connections that I made while on co-op. I also give to The Northeastern Fund because I want the University to continue to its upward trajectory in the national rankings. A stronger reputation directly benefits alumni by increasing the value to their degree. The gifts are also tax deductible, which is an added bonus.

Q. To which school/college or program did you designate your gift?

I gave to the general fund.

Q. How would you like to see your gift utilized?

I would like my donation to go the areas of greatest need at the University.

Q. What would you say to a fellow alumnus/a who is considering making a gift to The Northeastern Fund?

Northeastern has come a long way since its days as a local commuter school. The University is now on the cusp of greatness. Thanks to years of savvy strategic planning and the support of so many benefactors, Northeastern has been transformed into a national research University with a beautiful residential campus. The University is now seeing record student applications and higher national rankings.

We need to keep the momentum going by continuing to show our support for the University’s mission and programs. Even a small gift can have tremendous impact. Your gift to The Northeastern Fund is an investment in your degree and shows that you want to be part of something special.
