The Impact of Giving
Why did you give to The Northeastern Fund?
My main motivation to give to the school was to pay something back to Northeastern. My education at Northeastern is responsible for a lot of what I've accomplished in my life. I thought it was an opportunity to give back.
To which school/college or program did you designate your gift?
My gift was to the general Northeastern Fund, but what really prompted me to make a donation was rumors of the football program being dropped*. I was involved in the program and I just wanted to do what I could to help keep it going.
How would you like to see your gift utilized?
I absolutely loved Northeastern while I was there and I still feel a great deal of affection for the school. I'd like to see my gift used to improve the school as a whole, academically as well as athletics.
What would you say to a fellow alumnus/a who is considering making a gift to The Northeastern Fund?
Give as much as you can. It doesn't matter where the money goes. Northeastern was such a great experience for me - as I'm sure it was for a lot of people. I just think giving back was the right thing to do.

A recommendation was made for the formation of a fundraising drive to benefit all 19 men's and women's varsity sports. View the full story
