Programs & Education
ArtsAlive!
ArtsAlive! is a performing arts series for Northeastern alumni, designed to provide opportunities to gather together and experience theater, music and dance performances both on the campus and in downtown Boston. This series, launched in the spring of 2007, celebrates the importance of the arts and creativity within our culture.
Each ArtsAlive! program is coupled with a reception and an opportunity to meet and hear from Northeastern faculty member(s) on topics related to the performance.
We look forward to continuing to bring you several opportunities to see and hear from the talented groups on campus, as well as high quality professional productions downtown.
Upcoming programs are listed below. Additional details regarding the receptions and featured faculty speakers are posted here as they become available. Ticket sales will be announced via email communications to alumni. Please stay tuned!

Rent - Thursday, July 23, 2009
On Broadway and around the world, Rent has taken stages by storm over the last twelve years and, in the process, has transformed the definition of musical theater. This modern spin on the classic opera, La Boheme, tells the unforgettable story of a group of young artists as they discover themselves through lessons in survival, love, community and friendship. Join us for this amazing production, as original cast members Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp reprise their starring roles for this new tour.
Before the show, join alumni at local hot spot, The Estate, for a casual reception. Have a bite to eat, enjoy cocktails, and hear from Debra Kaufman, a Matthews Distinguished Professor from the sociology department. Then walk a few steps to the theatre for the show.
