Ke is a PhD candidate working with Prof. Castanon in the Information Sciences and Systems (ISS) Laboratory at Boston University, focusing on mulispectral imaging reconstruction. She received her M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Boston University in 2011 and a B.S. degree from Zhejiang University, China in 2007. She had internships at Analogic Corporation in Peabody, MA in 2008 and 2011 developing image reconstruction and image processing methods for security and medical CT scanners.

Delaram is a PhD student in the Information Sience and Systems (ISS) lab of the Electrical Engineering Department at Boston University . She works with Prof. Saligrama and Prof. Castanon. Her research is focused on Machine Learning and Sparse Signal Processing. She received her bachelors degree from Sharif University of Technology in May 2008 and joined BU for a post bachelor PhD program. I am currently working on theoretical aspects of multi-task learning.

Richard Obermeier is a member of the Northeastern University Class of 2013. Born and raised in East Boston, Massachusetts, Richard attended Boston Latin School, where he developed an interest in math and physics. Pursuing degrees in Electrical Engineering and Physics, Richard has been involved with the Northeastern Awareness and Localization of Explosive Related Threats (ALERT) Center since 2009, contributing to research on electromagnetic-based threat detection. Currently in his senior year, Richard is now working at Raytheon BBN Technologies as part of Northeastern’s Cooperative Education Program. Richard plans to continue his education after graduating by pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Signal Processing.

Post-Doctoral Researcher

Dr. Mohamed Elgharib finished his Bachelor degree from Trinity College Dublin, University of Dublin in 2008, with a Gold Medal in Electronics and Computer Engineering. He then obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Vision in 2012, under the supervision of Prof. Anil Kokaram. His PhD thesis was titled ” Handling Transparency in Digital Video ”. Dr. Mohamed research interest include motion estimation, tracking, restoration, pattern recognition, video search, object detection and others. Dr. Mohamed is now a postdoctoral researcher at Boston University. He is currently involved with projects related to automated event retrieval from digital video.
