Part of ALERT’s mandate from DHS is to develop a research strategy to identify gaps in the knowledge for effective IED Detect and Defeat capabilities. The prime vehicle for this is a series of strategic studies workshops on relevant DHS topical areas. The pattern with the series of ADSA workshops has been to deal broadly with a new topic in the odd-numbered workshops in order to scope out the topic. The even-number workshops are then used to address a focused application related to the topic.
This fall’s ADSA will take place on:
Wednesday, October 24, from 9 am-7:30 pm & Thursday, October 25, from 8 am – 4:00 pm.
Topic: Development of automated threat recognition (ATR) algorithms for explosion detection systems.
Location: Raytheon Room (240 Egan Research Center),
Northeastern University, Boston, MA
Participants: By invitation only
