How to read these notes

Each section will include one or several "Exercises". In principle, these exercises would be used as examples in class, and we would work on the code toghether. However, since I'm not going to be here for the first classes, I will post the programs on the course's webpage. You should be able to compile, modify, and run them on any computer with a C compiler. I encourage you to do it and play with them, and in particular, to look at the questions asked in the exercises. The homeworks are going to be based on these programs. I will probably ask you to modify the code to study a particular problem. You are welcome to ask questions by e-mail. Don't hesitate to do it.
