2013

Future Faculty Workshop – Materials Genome Initiative Regional Workshop

October 2013 - A one-day workshop covering topics to help Postdoctoral Scholars and late stage PhD students find and maintain tenure track faculty positions. The one day workshop will be followed by the Materials Genome Initiative Regional Workshop, October 8, 2013. This NSF conference serves to give insights to the faculty search process. The workshop is specifically designed to promote diversity and gender balance in the professoriate.

2012

Future Faculty Workshop – NSF CMMI

July 2012 – A one-day workshop covering topics to help Postdoctoral Scholars and late stage PhD students find and maintain tenure track faculty positions. The one day workshop will be followed by the NSF CMMI Engineering Research and Innovation Conference, July 9-12, 2012. This is an excellent opportunity for you to attend a NSF conference in your discipline and gain insights to the faculty search process. The workshop is specifically designed to promote diversity and gender balance in the professoriate.

Future Faculty Workshop – IFAC Workshop on Time Delay Systems

June 2012 - A one-day workshop covering topics to help Postdoctoral Scholars and late stage PhD students find and maintain tenure track faculty positions. The one day workshop will be followed by the International Federation on Automatic Control (IFAC) Workshop on Time Delay Systems, June 22-24, 2012. This is an excellent opportunity for you to attend an international technical conference in your discipline and gain insights to the faculty search process. The workshop is specifically designed to promote diversity and gender balance in the professoriate.

Boston-wide Future Faculty Workshop

March 2012 – This one-day workshop covered topics to help Postdoctoral Scholars and late stage PhD students find and maintain tenure track faculty positions. The workshop application was open to universities across New England and accomodated over 100 participants. It provided critical information for Postdoctoral Scholars and late stage PhD students interested in an academic career. The workshop was specifically designed to promote diversity and gender balance in the professoriate.

 

2011

9th World Congress on Neurohypophysial Hormones (WCNH)


July 2011 – This Future Faculty Workshop was held in conjunction with the 9th World Congress on Neurohypophysial Hormones (WCNH2011). WCNH2011 focuses on recent advances in the molecular biology, genetics, and neurobiology of vasopressin and oxytocin.

ASCE Engineering Mechanics Institute (EMI)

June 2011 – A forum for the exchange of ideas and discussion of recent developments in all mechanics and materials research fields. The technical sessions and symposia on fundamentals, tools and applications served to highlight and address educational needs, emerging thrusts, novel techniques, and innovative applications in areas that span across many engineering disciplines.

 

2009

Nanotechnology

June 2009 – The Future Faculty Workshop in Nanoscale Science and Engineering, which took place on June 17th-June 19th, 2009, included a workshop designed for prospective faculty to promote diversity and gender balance. The one-day workshop included participation in the two-day
7th New England International Nanomanufacturing Workshop.


Censsis

October 2009 – The Future Faculty Workshop in Sensing and Imaging Systems, which took place on Oct 26th, 09 – Oct 28th, 2009, included a workshop designed for prospective faculty to promote diversity and gender balance. The workshop included participation in the Gordon Center for Subsurface Sensing & Imaging Systems (Gordon-CenSSIS) and the ALERT Department of Homeland Security Center of Excellence.
