Future Faculty Workshop - Advanced Materials Research
June 27-28, 2013
The Future Faculty Workshop (FFW) is June 27th on Northeastern University's Main Campus. The FFW will be followed by the Materials Genome Initiative Regional Workshop (MGIRW) on June 28th at Northeastern University's Burlington Innovation Campus. Future Faculty Workshop participants are required to attend the MGIRW.
The Northeastern ADVANCE Future Faculty Workshop is designed to provide postdoctoral scholars and late-stage Ph.D. students information on the faculty search process and early career advice. Topics covered include: understanding the faculty search process, understanding the faculty candidate interview process, preparing a competitive faculty candidate CV, negotiating the job offer, and more. The one day Future Faculty Workshop is on Thursday, June 27th, followed by the Materials Genome Initiative (MGI) Workshop on Friday, June 28, 2013. THE MGI addresses the discovery and deployment of advanced materials systems. All FFW participants are required to fully participate in the MGI and prepare a research poster for display at the MGI. This is an excellent opportunity for you to attend an international technical conference in your discipline and gain insights to the faculty search process.
