Northeastern’s ADVANCE site for Institutional Transformation focuses on the recruitment of underrepresented faculty and the promotionĀ of understanding equitable hiring practices such as STRIDE, which discusses gender schemas in hiring, and good search practices.

Both NU ADVANCE and STRIDE work to increase the recruitment of women in academic positions in the natural and
social sciences, engineering, physical sciences and mathematics with particular focus on diversifying the faculty.

To support the broader community of women scholars, NU ADVANCE hostsĀ Future Faculty Workshops (FFW) to help prospective female faculty prepare for an academic career and to understand the search processes.
