Michigan Players – Leadership Through Communicating with Faculty (Department Chairs)

Department Chairs will participate in an interactive discussion on different dynamics of mentoring faculty through three scenarios: 1) A junior faculty member meets with the chair of her/his department to discuss the feedback s/he received following the third year review; 2) In a relatively informal conversation, the chair of a department asks one of the senior faculty members in his/her department how the junior faculty member he is mentoring is doing; 3) A department chair stops by the office of a newly hired faculty member to check in with her.
