Visit Campus > Admissions Counselors
Admissions counselors are responsible for providing prospective students with information about Northeastern and our admission process. They travel globally to share the Northeastern experience with students and families. We encourage you to contact the Admissions counselor responsible for your area with any questions. Please note that during the application reading period from November through March, counselors will be in Admissions Committee. During this time we encourage you to contact us at admissions@neu.edu or to speak with a counselor in our Visitor Center at 617.373.2200 for the fastest service.
We also encourage you to request more information to learn about special events, programs and other happenings on campus.
Northeastern University offers a variety of on and off campus opportunities for you to learn more about the University. For those visiting campus, admissions counselors are available on an informal basis throughout the day in the Admissions Visitor Center to personally meet with students, families, and guidance counselors as part of their visit.
Formal evaluative interviews are not required as part of the Northeastern University admission process, and the majority of our applicants do not complete an interview. The Admissions Committee bases admission decisions on the credentials and documents submitted with your application. Should you want to provide additional information to the committee, we encourage you to do so in writing.
However, evaluative interviews are offered on a limited basis both on and off campus by invitation to a small number of students based on geographic region, for certain scholarship programs and at the discretion of the Admissions Committee. Should you be invited for an interview, we encourage you to participate.
We also offer specialized visit options for Admitted Students which can be found in their
myNEU portal.
