The following information is required to process your credit evaluation:
- Official up-to-date copies of all college transcripts
- Official course registration list for any in-progress coursework.
- Copies of course descriptions or syllabi may be required. Please submit this information as soon a possible.
- For international university-level courses completed, the institution must be accredited by the government of that country and a formal evaluation by one of the following agencies may be required: World Education Services, Center for Education Documentation, or Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc.
Please e-mail course descriptions and include the following information: course titles, course numbers, credit, and descriptions and/or syllabi.

Each of Northeastern's colleges and schools has its own core requirements. Transfer credit may be applied to these requirements. See list of prerequisite course work. You may transfer up to 60 semester-hours of credit from an accredited two-year college, or up to 80 semester-hours from an accredited four-year college or any combination of two-and four-year college/university credit to a maximum of 80 credits.
Northeastern University does not award college credit for courses taken 10 or more years ago. Science and math courses cannot be more than five years old.
Transfer equivalencies are to be used as a guide on how classes at your current or former institution can be transferred to NU. While your course may appear on the list, it does not guarantee that it will transfer into your individual major. You must apply and submit your official transcript(s) of coursework completed to our Office of Admissions before a final determination can be made.
*Students have up to one term after matriculation to reconcile all transfer credits.
