Service Learning

You'll find many ways to put your knowledge to the test in the neighborhoods surrounding the University.

You can mentor students in local schools, volunteer at area social-service organizations, and help plan charitable events and fundraisers.

Internships can also give you valuable experience working for an employer in your chosen field or in one you wish to explore, helping with your career decision-making process.
Staff at the Center of Community Service at Northeastern can tell you about all the available projects.

Many majors at Northeastern incorporate real-world experiences into the course work. For example, students in the Bouvé College of Health Sciences perform clinical placements in community-based health centers, schools, and hospitals.
