What is LEAD?
LEAD is a college preparation and motivation program developed especially for Boston Public High School and METCO seniors to provide support with the college admissions process. Beginning with the college essay and building a college list, and ending with scholarship applications, LEAD will teach Boston high school seniors the strategies needed for a successful college application. Each high school student is paired with a Northeastern student mentor who is trained to assist with the college process. As a LEAD participant, you will benefit from small group teaching, mentoring, and a detailed curriculum to effectively master the college application process from start to finish. LEAD Mission
LEAD empowers high school students from Boston to realize their potential beyond high school as capable college students through motivation and outreach throughout the college admissions process.
LEAD LABS

LEAD participants meet as a group in LEAD LABS on Northeastern’s campus to work through the college application process. In addition to weekly LEAD LABS, high school seniors and mentors/teachers will participate in Saturday LEAD Retreats at four crucial points in the application process to share strategies for college success.
As a LEAD participant, you will learn strategies to help you get into college, including:
