The University Honors Program allows our most talented and exceptionally motivated students to enhance their educational experience through unique and challenging academic opportunities across the entire university.
As a member of the University Honors Program, you will join a community of scholars who benefit from unprecedented access to distinguished faculty members, interdisciplinary honors seminars, independent research projects built around your interests, and a network of engaged, enthusiastic peers. In addition, Honors students live together in the Honors Program Living Learning Community (LLC), where you’ll connect with your fellow Honors students and enjoy special academic and extracurricular programs. The themes include:
- Science, technology, and human values
- Societal development
- Conflict and peace building
- Inquiry, advocacy, and the social world
Members of the Honors community explore these themes through coursework and connections to broader opportunities on campus and beyond, including social, cultural, and community-service activities.
Applicants who have outstanding academic and extracurricular credentials may be invited to join the University Honors Program. All students who apply by the January 1 Regular Decision deadline are considered for admission into the Honors Program. There is no separate application. Students admitted into the Honors program are notified through their admission letter.
